Guided tour at the Parliament

Combined with a taste of Café house culture at the Szamos Café and Museum

The Parliament building, a magnificent example of Neo-Gothic architecture is the world’s third largest Parliament building and one of the TOP attractions of Budapest. Its interior includes 10 courtyards, 13 passenger and freight elevators, 27 gates, 29 staircases and 691 rooms (including more than 200 offices). With its height of 96 m, it is one of the two tallest buildings in Budapest.

After the guided tour of Parliament group programme continues at the famous Szamos Café. The traditional cakes, marzipans, and smaller confectioneries of Szamos are well known and loved throughout the country, and the family has been operating the brand since 1935 – the profession passes from generation to generation. Their newest store at Parliament wants to continue the tradition, while also offering new products and services tailored to the needs of modern-day customers. The Cafe hosts a Chocolate Museum, where the exhibited pieces were collected by the family through long decades.
