In the evening: dinner cruise on the Danube

A Danube cruise is a fantastic way to explore Budapest’s main riverside attractions and scenic panorama: the fabulous uphill castle, the iconic Chain Bridge, the second biggest Parliament building in Europe, the Margaret Island, the modern facade of the Palace of Arts. The scene is especially beautiful when illuminated in the evening.

The impressive building that was erected over a period of seventeen years, primarily in the late nineteenth century (1885–1902), has come to be the symbol of Hungary. It is currently the largest building in Hungary and still the tallest building in Budapest.

Visit to the Franz Liszt Memorial Museum

The museum is Liszt’s last Budapest flat on the first floor of the old Academy of Music, where the composer lived between 1881 and 1886. The collection of the museum contains his original instruments, furniture, his books, scores and some personal objects and memorabilia.

Day 4.

Morning: visit to the Kodaly Memorial Museum and introduction to the Kodaly teaching method, the world-famous Hungarian Educational Concept

Zoltán Kodály was one of the most outstanding personalities of 20th century Hungarian culture: composer, ethnomusicologist, music pedagogue, linguist and philosopher. His internationally acknowledged concept of music education is the basis for general music teaching in Hungary.
