  • The impressive building that was erected over a period of seventeen years, primarily in the late nineteenth century (1885–1902), has come to be the symbol of Hungary. It is currently the largest building in Hungary and still the tallest building in Budapest.
  • Visit to the Franz Liszt Memorial Museum
  • The museum is Liszt’s last Budapest flat on the first floor of the old Academy of Music, where the composer lived between 1881 and 1886. The collection of the museum contains his original instruments, furniture, his books, scores and some personal objects and memorabilia.

  • Morning: visit to the Kodaly Memorial Museum and introduction to the Kodaly teaching method, the world-famous Hungarian Educational Concept
  • Zoltán Kodály was one of the most outstanding personalities of 20th century Hungarian culture: composer, ethnomusicologist, music pedagogue, linguist and philosopher. His internationally acknowledged concept of music education is the basis for general music teaching in Hungary.
  • Lunch in the downtown
  • Afternoon: Visiting Europe’s biggest operating Synagogue
  • Visit to the Dohány Street Synagogue, located in the Jewish Quarter, next to the UNESCO world heritage site in Budapest. The Synagogue is the largest one in Europe, and the second largest on the planet. The tour includes not only the synagogue, but the Memorial Garden, the Jewish Museum behind it and a short walk within the Jewish district.
  • Evening: Gastro-cultural experience – stylish dinner with Hungarian folk music and gypsy music
