Egyéb European members of SKÅL International, the world’s leading tourist organization, gathered in Rome at the end of November for a three-day event. Hungary was especially in the spotlight as Erika Nyúl, Founder and Managing Director of Budapest-based cultural travel operator Violin Travel, and Vice President of the Hungarian SKÅL Association, was awarded the SKÅL Europe Network Award, founded by SKÅL Italia to recognise the values of European tourism.
At the award ceremony, Nyúl said that she had been a committed supporter of Hungarian cultural values and the culture itself for many years, and that her main goal was to promote high-quality cultural tourism through the unique portfolio offered by her company, Violin Travel. Violin Travel’s services are primarily based on Budapest’s diverse cultural landscape, with a particular emphasis on concerts, festivals and exhibitions. The Violin Travel team believes that Hungary’s cultural institutions match anything found in the rest of the world, and the company, in particular, focuses on providing talented young artists with an opportunity to introduce themselves as part of its offerings.
Boasting an international membership of 15,000 people, SKÅL’s main goal since its founding in 1932 is to facilitate the exchange of experience among tourism industry business leaders, create business opportunities and partnerships, develop a common vision and support a responsible tourism industry.
